  Mehlerhaus in Madseit

The town of Tux has restored the more than 300-year-old Mehlerhaus as a small museum. Current exhibition: “Women in Tux and Women in the Himalayas”.

  Tuxer Mühle in Juns

The 1839 Tux Mill has been restored, and so a piece of the rural culture has been preserved.

Opening hours: every Monday from 13:00 to 16:00 (from mid June to the end of September)

  Bergkäserei Stoarnkasern

The Stoarnkasern cheese manufactory is at an elevation of 1984 metres above sea level, in the picturesque Alpine valley Junsalm. Visitors can see how milk is turned into butter and cheese.

  Panoramaterrasse auf 3.250 m

Perhaps the most splendid cableway in the Alps, “Gletcher3” will carry you to the year-round frozen station on the glacier Hintertux with its panoramic terrace. The breath-taking panorama runs from Großglockner through the Dolomites all the way to Zugspitze.

  Natur Eis Palast

The Natur Eis Palast on the Hintertux glacier at an elevation of 3250 metres is a naturally growing crevasse created without human intervention. It is divided into an entry hall, Firnkegelgalerien with crystal chamber, the blue chamber with ice chapel and a true ice palace with perfect ice formations.

  Granatkapelle am Penken

The chapel is at 2087 metres above sea level on a sunny upland plateau with beautiful view of the Zillertal range. It is a destination full of silence, relaxation and contemplation.

  Tuxer Wasserfälle

Tux water has the quality of drinking water – refresh yourself in one of the many natural springs. At the end of the Hintertux valley on the route to Weitental there are fascinating waterfalls.

  Schlegeisstausee

Just a couple of kilometres south of Mayrhofen in the picturesque village of Ginzling you will arrive at the station along the Alpine road “Schlegeis”. You will be impressed by the 131 metre high and 725 metre long damn, which is an ideal starting point for walks and mountain hikes.
